Episode 1 - The remote working revolution

Even with the dust yet to settle it’s clear that the coronavirus pandemic will shape our working culture for a generation.

The channel, and the IT industry in general, showed its value when it pivoted the entire country to remote working virtually overnight. The sheer scale of the challenge is no better demonstrated than in NHS Nightingale Hospital London, which saw a supposed year-long IT project condensed into just seven days.

We may still be in the eye of the storm, but the working habits we’ve had to pick up so quickly will remain long after it is safe to be within touching distance of our peers again.

The early, erratic demand for remote working technology may have subsided, but the pandemic has proved to business leaders that this technology can work for them and, in many cases, be more effective.

For the channel, the opportunity is as unprecedented as the challenge.
